Custom Foot Orthotics
At Lifepath Chiropractic, we are pleased to offer custom foot orthotics that are specifically made to correct your foot imbalances.
Did you know that the average Canadian takes between 3,500 and 5,000 steps every day? That is nearly two million steps each year! Since your feet are composed of 26 bones, these bones are tasked with supporting your entire body’s weight over a sustained period of time sometimes for long distances, so one misaligned bone can result in excruciating pain and injury.
Our custom foot orthotics look like regular shoe insoles and are custom fabricated. They can be worn in almost any kind of runners, hiking boots, dress shoes, or even high heels. Our orthotics are compact and light-weight. They can even fit in your skates, ski boots or roller blades!
How Do Custom Foot Orthotics Work?
Our custom foot orthotics work much the same way as glasses work on your eyes. They can reduce stress and strain on your body by bringing your feet into proper alignment with your body.
Your feet are the foundation of your body. They support your entire body weight and anything you carry, which can translate to thousands of pounds per square inch of pressure on your feet. Our foot orthotics exert gentle pressure on your feet, which in turn can correct issues with alignment, walking, running and standing.
Poor foot mechanics set the stage for poor posture and can be the source of muscular imbalances in the rest of your body, resulting in pain in your legs, back, neck, hips, and shoulders. All of this pain can originate from the imbalance in your feet!
Symptoms of poor foot mechanics can include:
- Localized foot pain
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Bunions, Hammertoes
- Morton’s Neuroma
- Arch/heel pain
- Leg/knee pain
- Hip or back pain
- Neck pain
The great news is that you can wear our custom orthotics and continue to wear your favorite fashionable shoes. Orthotics are great for shock absorption when exercising and general comfort during everyday use. Orthotics can be made for every member of the family, even children. Sizes can range up to size 13 and larger.
